Welcome aboard
Sailing – Aegina/Perdika
Your Greek island sailing experience starts today. The yacht will be provisioned and ready to go. We will take care for all the paperwork and you will avoid the hassle of yacht checkout.
Your skipper will be waiting for you to give you a briefing on the trip itinerary.
In the early afternoon you will set sail for the picturesque village of Perdika (isle of Aegina).
This lovely fishing village with its tiny port is where you will anchor for the night.
Alternative is to ovenight at the closeby island of Moni. An uninhabitted island with a beautiful small cove.
Moni Island is a nature reserve and a protected area. Peacocks and deer can be seen roaming the island free and even coming down to the beach.
Day 2 Sunday |
Hydra |
You will depart from Perdika in the morning and set sail for one of the most iconic islands in Greece, the island of Hydra.
Hydra stands alone among Greek islands as the one free of wheeled vehicles. No cars. No scooters.
Just tiny marble-cobbled lanes, donkeys, rocks and sea. Artists, musicians, actors and celebrities have all been drawn to Hydra over the years.
The port of Hydra where you will anchor is considered one of the prettiest in Greece.
An air of exclusivity combined with the natural rugged landscape make for an amazing setting.
Breakfast included
Another hidden gem of the trip is the very close by island of Dokos. Setting off from Hydra, a swimming stop at Dokos bay is an experience that will be treasured. |
Day 3 Monday |
Leonidio |
Enjoy your breakfast in Hydra and then set your sails for Leonidio. Set on the beautiful east coast of the Peloponnese.
You will dock at the port of Plaka, with its few taverns and its long pebble beach is unique and one of the hidden gems of the area.
It is as if time has stopped on this amazing location. Situated under huge red cliffs the scenery dominates the area.
It is spectacular. Take the opportunity to visit Leonidio (about 5 minutes by car from the Plaka port), situated under two huge cliffs and at the end of the Badron gorge this small village is one of the most scenic of the Peloponnese.

Day 4 Tuesday |
Nafplio
Today you will sail to Nafplio. Another highlight of this sailing trip. Nafplio was the first capital of Greece and has been a major port in Greece since the Bronze Age. As you enter the port you will be pass one of the three impressive fortresses of the city; the island fortress of Bourtzi. Imposing above the city is the massive fortress of Palamidi and a smaller one of Acronafplia.
Don’t miss the opportunity to walk through this beautiful town rich in history and impressive architecture; still retaining the local character of the city.
Close by to Nafplio are the very important ancient sights of Epidaurus and Mycenae which a definitely worth a visit.
Breakfast Included
Nafplio is a vibrant city with much to see and do. A walk through the city and the market is a "must". |
Day 5 Wednesday |
Spetses |
Another change of scenery and mood today. Sail from Nafplio to the small island of Spetses, another favorite of the “jetset” crowd.
The bustling town and the stunning architecture of the old manor houses gives the island an air of the traditional and the exclusive. Take a walk through the narrow streets and enjoy a coffee on the waterfront.
Spetses also offers a good night life scene which you can explore tonight!
Breakfast included

Day 6 Thursday |
Poros |
Sailing from Nafplio to Poros today.
The narrow straights of Poros (separating the Peloponnese peninsula from the island of Poros) are tricky to navigate and of amazing beauty. Poros itself is pine covered and has an interesting port with cafees and restaurants on the waterfront. Take advantage of the afternoon here and explore this unique location.
Breakfast included
Alternative than docking at the port of Poros is to be “at anchor” at the Russian bay. One of the nicest beaches of the island. |
Its a nice walk up to the Poros clocktower (can be very hot in the summer) and offers incredible views of the straights |
Day 7 Friday |
Aegina / town |
This morning after breakfast you will set sail towards the island of Aegina on your return journey back to Athens.
The waterfront of the town of Aegina has a unique characteristic in the way the locals have retained the architecture as it was.
Although the island does not have the “cosmopolitan” or the “jetset” of the other islands visited, yet it has a unique vibe and liveliness which make it attractive.
The very rich history of the island make is evident not only within town but also in the two temples located on the island.
If you are feeling energetic you may visit the impressive temple of Athina Aphaia (about 30 minutes drive from town). Later in town, take a stroll along the narrow streets and see the covered local fish market, taste the local fresh pistachios or perhaps taste a “meze” of grilled octopus and squid accompanied by Greece’s national drink – the aniseed flavoured Ouzo.
Explore the "backstreets" of Aegina town, see the colourful shops selling arts and crafts, cafes and restaurants and the pictoresque church dedicated to St Nicolas, the protector of sailors.

The Hassle! |
How to remove hassle from a sailing trip? Whoever has chartered a yacht knows well that the first day is often lost in paper work and provisioning the vessel for the weeklong trip. We understand that your holiday should be fun and things should be done beforehand as much as possible to avoid delays. For example for the initial provisioning, we only need a list of items to buy – and these will be onboard when you check in!
We don’t see chartering as just finding a yacht. It is a holiday and treated as such. A complete set of services that will take care of your requests and needs. We understand and appreciate that each group has different requirements and interests.
Any pre/post trip requests will be taken care of and we always work hand in hand with you to plan all details to perfection.
